What if His people prayed?

“And if my people, who bear my name, humble themselves, pray and seek my face, and turn from their evil ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7: 13

God says when we pray he listens. Someone recently shared this at our church about prayer. “There is no secret language, password or membership requirement. It’s your honest hearts desire to talk, be heard and understood to be held and know that no matter what you are loved. You, yes you, have immeasurable worth. Believe it and talk to Father however that feels comfortable to you. He’s listening.” 

Prayer with my Father changes things. Praying to God changes things within me as He changes things around me. We have our individual heart posture when it comes to prayer but as a whole He hears us together when we pray. Our relationship with Him grows deeper in prayer. 

He chose us to bear the name of Jesus. Our mission is to embody the Living Word and our prayers reveal that. “Lord, you are my Shepherd. I know you will provide all that I need.” We partner with him in prayer. Staying close and allowing the voice of our Father to guide us..

Father,

It doesn’t make sense how you work.  We can't always see it. Growing our faith and dependence on you can show us to move when we pray. Our mind will always be the constant battle field of thinking we have the better solution. It will always be the fight to allow you to fight that battle. But what an honor and privilege to sit with you and just lay that all out. To know that in those moments of surrender is the place when we can give you that permission to move. To invite you Jesus into all of it so we can experience Peace in the chaos. We can embody that Peace as we go out. Help us to sit and talk with you daily so we can carry you out as we go..
