Lion of Judah

Lion of Judah

“As for you, you are to prophesy all these things to them, and say to them, and say to them: The LORD roars from on high; he makes his voice heard from his dwelling. He roars loudly over his grazing land; he calls out with a shout, like those who tread grapes, against the inhabitants of the earth.” Jeremiah 25:30

Acknowledgement must occur in order for change to happen. Sometimes we aren’t even aware of the prowling lion that seeks to devour us and other times we feel like we are waiting for the shoe to drop. Anticipating the prey that wants to destroy us is a spiritual discipline but as I have been learning lately so is trusting God to fight the fight. In order for restoration to occur for the people of Judah they had to be removed from the land that continued to pull them away from God. God had to do something radical to wake them up to all their sins that had led to hearts that had forgotten and lost all sight of the One Living God. The enemy had a plan to destroy them and God is His Sovereignty knew exactly what was needed.

Sometimes we aren’t even aware when the enemy is working. Like last night with me. There I sat and started taking in the message that was given. By the first few minutes into the message I knew that once again God was dealing with a heart issue with me. It wasn’t an audible voice but a glance from someone that I love and a restlessness within my spirit that has become all too familiar. God was speaking to my heart.

“Be sober-minded, be alert. Your adversary the devil is prowling around like a roaring lion, looking for anyone he can devour. Resist him, firm in the faith, knowing that the same kind of sufferings are being experienced by you fellow believers throughout the world.” 1 Peter 5:8

I recently learned that one of the first prophet’s God sent to warn them was Elijah and his name meant, “My God is Yahweh.” Why do you think that was the meaning of the first name of the warning God was giving them? Why do I forget?

We are the pride of Zion. Yahweh put his name in Zion claiming it as His own. Our hearts can take courage because we know the Great I Am. He is our Messiah and worthy of ALL our praise. So let that lion roar because we know who has already prepared the way. Our hearts can respond in an act of worship of knowing that no matter what happens our suffering will produce in us Glory.

As I sat there last night it was that message of how I allow the enemy of my mind to just settle in when God calls me to remember my position in Christ. Stand firm.

Father,

I will praise you again because you are worthy of all my praise. How you care for each of us that you would choose us over and over is beyond our comprehension.

For the LORD has chosen Zion; he has desired it for his home: This is my resting place forever; I will make my home here because I have desired it.” Psalm 132: 13-14

We are your Chosen ones and you Reign forever King Jesus.

    2. Last night someone prophesied to me that I'm a lion, another one said I'm a bear. I don't feel like a lion or a bear. The enemy roars LIKE a lion, but he's not a lion, he just poses as one. His bark is louder than his bite. We have the spirit of the real lion...our bite is real!

    3. Yes! That word lion is something I can't stop writing about. Probably because of all the spiritual warfare around us... but like you said we have the Lion inside us that the Holy Spirit able to do anything that God desires.
