 Note: This is last year at Martin County. I am going back on this mission trip this year! Excited to go again and meet more people and see how He will show up again..

 Fellowship Together

“This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light, and there is absolutely no darkness in him. If we say, “We have fellowship,” and yet we walk in darkness, we are lying and are not practicing the truth. If we walk in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.” 1 John 1:5-7

As a kid there was something I loved to do with my church family. Every month we would gather for something we called, Fellowship Supper.  This was an event where everyone met together and brought their favorite dishes to share. The table was filled with food that was southern and accompanied it was the feast of desserts. Filling our plates we would go to sit to eat with one another to get up and fill another plate. Fried chicken, hashbrown casserole, corn pudding, green bean casserole, banana pudding you name it it was at that supper. We gathered, shared, ate, were filled, and spent the time catching up with one another. The different dishes always came made with love. 

Fellowship with one another is one of my favorite things about being together in community with one another.  Although the suppers are a thing of the past something greater has been revealed to me. The ability to gather with our unique gifts and callings as the Holy Spirit leads us as One is better than any fried chicken or hashbrown casserole any day of the week. The remembrance that we live in fellowship with one another and the Living Spirit in us is the Light of Jesus as we continue to walk alongside one another. Through encouragement, God’s Word, and prayer because of the blood of Christ as One Spirit.

Father,

We GET to live our lives together. Fellowship exists because we share the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the grave. We share common mindsets when we allow the Holy Spirit full access to what you desire to do here on earth. Let that be our heart posture. Everyday Lord let us come and feast on you Living truth. Together for your Kingdom purpose Jesus.
